The Department of Computer Applications was incepted in the year 2000. With a team of qualified and experienced faculty members, the department is committed to nurturing future-ready professionals through a career-oriented curriculum that effectively blends theoretical concepts with practical knowledge.

The department emphasizes skill development programmes that enable students to acquire strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and industry-relevant competencies. To enhance industry exposure and keep students updated with evolving technological trends, the department regularly organizes add-on courses, workshops, seminars, internships, industrial visits, and guest lectures.

The department has an excellent placement record, with students securing positions in reputed IT companies and organizations. Equal importance is given to the holistic development of students by encouraging participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities. With a special focus on women empowerment, NCVT–MHRD diploma courses in communication and employability skills are offered during the course duration.

The department is equipped with a state-of-the-art computer laboratory, smart classrooms, and interactive panels that support a technology-enabled learning environment. "The department conducts various activities under the banner 'Tek-Geeks' Association to kindle the technical knowledge of the students in an interesting and innovative manner."
